The political process has been on my mind for quite some time. I blame the recent elections, family discussions and a few lectures at college. I plan on exploring concepts regarding government and invite everyone (all 6 of you) to participate. While I am using tumblr as a means of collecting my thoughts, I want more than just an echo chamber. I want the opinions and criticisms of others. If you catch me making arguments without proper sources or using unsound logic, please call me on it.
Most of the entries will be about government’s structure, function and ethical imperatives NOT trending political topics.

"One American adult in 100 festers behind bars (with the rate rising to one in nine for young black men). Its imprisoned population, at 2.3m, exceeds that of 15 of its states. No other rich country is nearly as punitive as the Land of the Free. The rate of incarceration is a fifth of America’s level in Britain, a ninth in Germany and a twelfth in Japan." - The Economist
And to think most election campaigns only come bi-annually. /s
Currently playing a savage worlds campaign with friends called Necessary Evil. You are essentially a supervillian stuck saving the world from Alien Overlords (all the superheros have been killed). For anyone with the nostalgia, the system plays a lot like City of Villians.
So why the photo above? Aquaman is perhaps the easiest/cheapest hero to create within the gaming system.
Beyond that, Pinnacle has recently revised the gaming mechanics for all of their settings. Included among these is Deadlands, a game I dont feel I gave enough of a chance the first time around. Fully immersed in the game mechanics of Savage Worlds, a cthulhu-esque Weird West campaign has been brewing. Perhaps I should use these last few days of Google Wave to actually game with it like I had intended.
